Redondo Beach is the largest of the three Beach Cities located in the South Bay. It is only minutes away from Downtown LA and LAX, and offers a truly diverse range of real estate. The one knock on South Redondo Beach is that it is a bit further of a commute to Los Angeles than North Redondo. Because of its location to the beach and Village area, South Redondo is generally more expensive that North Redondo, but each has its pros and cons.

The popularity of North Redondo Beach stems from its ease of commute and proximity to the major freeways. It easily has the widest price range of the three beach cities. The area is broken up into many different neighborhoods and zones, each with its own restrictions and benefits. Here modestly priced family homes, townhomes and condos line wooded streets eastward until reaching Torrance. Areas in North Redondo can be zoned as R2-R4 which allows multiple townhomes to be built on the same 7,500square foot lot. In the situation of an R4 zone, 3 townhomes could potentially be built on the one lot, making the price more affordable.
